Become a Regular Donor

Today, I'm officially announcing an opportunity for you to become a regular donor to this spiritual awakening blog and my spiritual teaching work.

Down below, you can click the subscribe button. The subscription is a $15 a month donation that continues as long as you so choose. This regular donation helps to bring more certainty to my financial support.

Donating regularly helps me with all my financial obligations, and in supporting me, your donation helps me to support people around the world.

I know that many of you have benefited from this blog and won't seek one-on-one sessions with me. That's okay. But it is important to give back in some way. You certainly can also give a one-time donation at any time using the donation tools here on this site.

Giving back and giving regularly are important things to do on the spiritual path in general. I am sympathetic for anyone in financial difficulties, and there are no expectations for those who are in financial hardship. The point of offering a free blog is that no one is shut-out of spiritual support because of money. However, many people do have the funds available to be regular supporters, and so if this blog has helped you, I humbly ask you to consider becoming a regular contributor.

Building Financial Support for the Future

In the below blog post, I offer thoughts on what your donations help me to do now. But I also want to talk about what I want to do for the future.

Donating to Support the Blog

I've been teaching for 8 years as of this posting, and I intend to make this teaching my lifelong work. I've got a lot of ideas about where I want to go with this work in the coming years and decades, but I'm going to need your help and support to make a lot of them happen.

The fact of the matter is that oftentimes when you create something new, it isn't immediately self-supporting. The spiritual teaching that I offer took 4 and 1/2 years before I was breaking even. It's great to have this work supporting me now-a-days, but if this work is going to be able to help more people, I'm going to need more kinds of support, not the least of which is monetary because that's just how we exchange energy in this world.

Here are some things I want to do in the future:

• Write more books. I have a first-draft of a second book right now. However, writing books takes time, and they don't pay anything when you're writing them.
• Facilitate spiritual community. Most of the time and energy put into creating community also tends to not be self-funding.
• Create spiritual centers
• Develop a new website
• Encourage broader distribution of spiritual tools like meditation with an orientation on inspiring neighborhood meditation groups to bring local communities together
• and more!

Working Together Towards a More Conscious Future

I know a lot of people want to believe that we are evolving and becoming more conscious, but the truth is that we all have to choose to be more conscious. We all have to put the work into ourselves, and for those of us who have that part licked, we need to create spaces to facilitate that work for others. That's a lot of time, energy, and money, and all three parts have to be appreciated.

So when you're considering becoming a regular donor, don't see this as just a donation for today or for me. Think about this contribution in terms of helping build a conscious future for all of us.
